Way back in 1977 a bunch of guys wanted to play some fun lob ball on a Sunday night, and started out with 4 teams from various park locations throughout Oshawa.
Hence the Oshawa Park League was formed. As the interest in the sport of Lob Ball increased, the League expanded gradually, and in the mid 80's the name was changed to the Oshawa Lob Ball League and affiliation was formed with Slo-Pitch Ontario.
By the late 80's there were 64 teams involved. The League moved from Alexander Park to the new diamonds at Lakefront West in the early 90's.
In 2002 the name was changed to the Oshawa Slo-Pitch League and a Co-Ed Division was formed.
The League plays Sunday nights at the Lakefront West Park Diamonds, no long weekends with a 24 game schedule.
We start at the end of April and play-offs can sometimes run into October. Game times are 5:00, 6:30, 8:00 and 9:30 PM.
Our motto is "PLAY BALL" "HAVE FUN" and the Code of Conduct is strictly enforced!
